As we contemplate the coming of the new year, let us reflect on that first Christmas and the exchange of gifts between the three wise men and Jesus.

Their epiphany meant that beyond taking gifts, they took the message of
Jesus to heart and began to share their epiphany with others – the
celebration of the event beyond the event.

As we move into this new year of God’s grace, may we carry that same
joy into 2011.
